El Coto was established in 1970 in Rioja Alavesa and has grown to become one of the most renowned producers in the Rioja region. Production:
The grapes for this Crianza are sourced predominantly from Rioja Alavesa (65%), with contributions from Rioja Alta (25%) and Rioja Baja (10%). The wine is fermented in stainless-steel, temperature-controlled tanks at 20-26ºC over a period of 20-25 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. It is aged for a minimum of 12 months in American oak barrels and an additional 6 months in the bottle before release.
