• Location: The estate is located on the upper slopes of the Breede River Valley, at an altitude of 240 – 350m above sea level. Cold winters with snow until late spring result in slow ripening.
• Soil: The area features weathered sandstone hills and a valley floor sedimented by diverse soil parent materials, influenced by the Worcester Fault geological feature. Significant diurnal temperature variation supports good sugar development while preserving natural acidity.
