The Balvenie Stories, The Sweet Toast of American Oak 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, a captivating whisky that showcases the creativity and innovation of Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie. Inspired to create a fruitier and sweeter Balvenie, Kelsey imported Virgin Oak barrels from Kentucky. These barrels were then filled with Balvenie aged in ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a delectably complex whisky with rich notes of candied fruit, coconut, and delicate vanilla. On the nose, experience lusciously malty aromas with sweet fudge, citrusy notes, and oak vanilla, all layered with spicy oak hints of ginger and cinnamon. The palate reveals a delightful mix of candied orange and lemon peel, vanilla toffee, butterscotch, blossom honey, melted brown sugar, and oak spices. The finish is rich and malty, with gentle waves of oak vanilla and subtle spices.
