This exceptional whisky spends at least 12 years maturing in traditional whisky casks, American Oak ex-bourbon barrels, and hogsheads. It is then transferred to Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks for an additional nine months, where it gains depth and richness. Finally, the whisky is married in large oak vessels called “tuns” for 3-4 months, allowing the flavours to harmonise perfectly.
The result is a single malt with a distinctive character that reflects the influence of both wood types.
