The story of Dom Pérignon is a story of constant reinvention and each Vintage has new inspiration.
Always a vintage champagne made from grapes grown in the same year. Dom Perignon 2006 Vintage has arrived in the light and is now delivering this expressiong frull of life and singularity.
This 2016 Creator's Edition has been formed in partnership with Michael Riedel.
Riedel is known for his affinity for transformations. Much like the slow transformation of a wine over the years, the German artist permutes and transfers existing materials. For Dom Pérignon he has taken the D and P in the Maison’s name and created a poetic optical metaphor for the passage of time. He did this by creating a complex layering of the two letters across both the box and the bottle labels. This is a singular mix of superpositioning, deconstruction and aggregation of the letters D and P.
Together, the Creators envisioned a shining beacon of exuberant earthly green light for the Blanc that shines down on the bottle from above, visually piercing the glass with its glow. The shards of light that escape from it echo the feeling during the vintage's tasting, bearing witness to the unequivocal sensation that crosses the mind as Dom Pérignon's champagne penetrates the heart, and warms it in its unique and indefinable light.
