From Japan’s oldest distillery, the Yamazaki, comes this limited edition single malt which then matured in a Bordeaux Wine Cask, this particular Yamazaki doesn’t have an age statement. However, this doesn’t take away the amazing taste that this whisky provides. It’s been matured in a cask that once held Bordeaux wine, for an unspecified period. With plenty of rich fruitiness complementing those more familiar notes, it’s an expression that provides something truly special whisky.
About the distillery
Yamazaki distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery located in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
Opened in 1923, and owned by Suntory, it was Japan's first commercial whisky distillery. Seven thousand bottles of unblended malt whisky are on display in its "Whisky Library".
