Hambledon was established in 1952 by Major-General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones, Hambledon Vineyard prides itself on a long and rich heritage of innovation in English winemaking, and is England's Oldest Commercial Vineyard, nestled within the 'Cradle of Cricket', Hampshire. Geology has played a key role in the planning for Hambledon Vineyard. The chalk on which we grow our vines was formed on the seabed of the Paris basin some 65 million years ago.
